John Baeder at Frieze Seoul, June Wayne at The Armory Show NYC

We are pleased to announce the simultaneous showing of two of our great artists, John Baeder and June Wayne, at international art venues this week.

Collaborating with ACA Galleries in New York, three paintings by John Baeder are on exhibit at Frieze Seoul, alongside the works of NC Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth and Masaaki Sato. "American Realism presents the work of 5 artists whose paintings depict contemporary social realities and the lives and everyday activities of ordinary people. Drawing from observation these artists display superb draftsmanship to convey personal experiences to universal themes.”

ACA Galleries at Frieze Seoul, September 6-10, 2023, Stand M3, Coex.

At the same time, the seminal tapestry “Grande Vague Bleue” (Blue Tidal Wave), 1974, by June Wayne is on view at The Armory Show in New York.

The group exhibition "Women in Fiber" explores the ways in which female artists in the 20th and 21st century have used fiber and textile as an integral part of their practice. The presentation examines how Kandy G Lopez, Dindga McCannon, Faith Ringgold, Aminah Robinson, and June Wayne, have used the media to explore a range of topics including the natural world, politics, personal history and identity.
