Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Claudio Santini experimented with photography from an early age. While studying at the Architectural University and the Instituto Europeo di Design in Rome, Santini developed an interest specifically in architectural photography, and began documenting the work of many emerging architects.This work has been published by the most prestigious architectural publications internationally, is represented in many pioneering books, including his recent landmark work Green is Beautiful: The Eco Friendly House, Image Publishing, 2009. In his daily work and life, Santini seeks to represent beauty and formal balance of environmental concepts, focusing on how human presence interacts with and affects the environment. Santini, an avid sailor, lives in Los Angeles.
