Degha/Gurunsi Heddle Pulley


An old Degha/Gurunsi Heddle Pulley from Burkina Faso depicting a bold, powerful female. These pulleys were used to run thread from the top to bottom of looms, and to provide distraction and inspiration to the weaver. 

Circa early 20th Century.
