Grand Pressigny France Lower Paleolithic Handaxe, Two “Eyes”


Well positioned concave indentations in the stone give the appearance of two eyes. The creator of this handaxe has left these prominent features intact, working around them. Shiny glossy surface patina from exposure. Circa: 300,000-400,000 BC
